First off, I’d like to issue a collective “FUCK YOU!” to all the assholes who doubted this team, this coach, and this institution throughout the year. I believe that I posted before the Michigan State game that this team had a mission.
Mission accomplished, men.
The Iowa Hawkeyes are the Big Ten Tournament CHAMPIONS. No one- no biased media, no retard staff writers at the Daily Iowan, and no message board junkies can take this away from them. They’re the champions for life. Sorry, doubters. Sorry, condescending pricks who wanted this team to fail all year just to make your disgusting predictions correct. Sorry, national media who wants this team to get distracted by the coaching trauma that you yourselves created. Sorry, everyone- this team isn’t going to fail.
Iowa marches on to the NCAA tournament as the best team in the Big 10, and proved it today. Hopefully, there are still some of you left on this bandwagon– it’ll be circling the Final Four soon.

First off, hats off to Illinois for a great showing. Especially from their TWO first all big 10 teamers. Funny how a certain Big 10 tournament MVP was absent from that list. Nice selection job, dolts. Ok, I gave equal time to the Illini, now its time to talk about winners. I went to Buffalo Wild Wings with Colestal, had some wings and brew, and watched the Hawkeyes do what they do - take care of business. A good game from both teams, but when it came to what the great MJ called “winning time”, the Hawks pulled away and got it done. A great result for a great year. Now lets break Dickey V’s heart and thrash Duke on our way to the Final Four.
while they had their ups and downs the hawks pulled it off once again–TOURNAMENT CHAMPS! i’d love to see Duke out of the tournament ASAP!
Its been great to watch the hawks win against the best in the big ten. We were underdogs just the way we like it. When ur not expected to win u win anyway. We may never see a group of people like this again. But they will live to tell the story of what they did
Blow me Zounds. Every so often (every 25 years or so) Iowa wins the Big 10. Those two Illini you ragged on have won 113 games in four years. How far back to we have to go for Iowa to reach 113 wins, six years?
As Mikehawk knows, I will always give props where do, so huge props to the Hawks for winning the Big 10 tourney. No doubt this has been a great year for Hawk fans. Live it up, because you Iowa students will be in your 40’s before it happens again.
I pick Illinois to choke out in the Sweet 16, same as Iowa (if they don’t get Pittsnoggled in the second round).
And by the way, can anyone explain why the hell Bruce (MotherFucker) Pearl is deserving on a No. 2 seed?
first off congrats to the HAWKS on a dame good finish to their year. Very good wins and a good number of apperences by the big 10 in this years ncaa tourny. first round should be easy forthe hawks second round could be a bit harder with west virgina comming more than likley. none the less i have confidence that IOWA can and will move on past wets virgina and texas beating texas and getting some revenge at the same time. It is possible that duke can be eliminated second round by a very good gerorge washinton team who has struggled late but is still a very dangerous ball club. even if duke does beat george washinton they will have to deal with a very dangerous and hungry syracuse team who does want to win kudos to them, they have indeed proved that they want to win and they can win with an impressive thumping of number 1 seed UConn. anyway the hawks will still more than likly loose steve but i not to dissapointed myself that he will be gone we need a change. best of luck to the HAWKS in the ncaa. all these great facts by CYcanDIE. I was in the damn airport in Denver and found the ONE TV in the entire place that had the game on. I stalked the guys at the bar until they left so I could steal their seat. I only was able to watch the first half, but when I got a text from my friend when our plane landed in Phoenix, I seriously jumped up and down. It was a good day to be a Hawkeye.

The senior class want to be more then the big ten champs so they will be bigger champs the national Champs. There is no way in any loyal Iowa hawkeye mind that they cant do it. Duke sucks. So does unconn who everybody is pickin. They can pick there nose. Unconn is goin to lose to the 16 seed.
