As much as I love to make fun of Iowa State, I try not to, too regularly… maybe once out of every ten to fifteen breaths, but anyway…

Earlier this week, I had a call from a branch in Ames with a personal banker explaining an issue that usually has fairly quick fix, but… while I was hand-holding her Service Manager through his fuck-up’s in her profile, she asked him if he had seen in the paper where they were talking about Shanda Munn being sentenced soon.

The following is VERBATIM:
PB: “Did you see in the Register that they are going to be sentencing Shanda Munn?”

SM: “No.”
PB: “How did you not? You spend all morning with your nose in the paper! [haha]”
SM: “[haha], yeah, but I went to Iowa State… I just look at the pictures.”

I didn’t even bother muting the phone… I just laughed my ass off.

As unethical as that may be, if you are going to openly drop a comment like that, you deserve the humiliation.
