DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know…
..that if you were born during the week that Iowa State won it’s last conference title in football, you’d be turning 105 this fall?
..that Iowa State built a brand new, million-dollar study building just for its athletes? Sadly, they can’t figure out the revolving door at the front, and the building has remained untouched for the past year.
..that when the Iowa State Men’s Cross Country team last qualified for the post-season NCAA Championships, the #1 hit on the Billboard Charts was “I’ll Make Love to You” by Boyz II Men?
..that former Iowa State football player Hiawatha Rutland is an aspiring comedian? This is no surprise, as he was part of the biggest joke in college football for four years.
..that Iowa Wrestling legend Dan Gable coached the Hawkeyes to more national titles by himself than the entire Iowa State Athletic Department can lay claim to as a whole?
..that Iowa State students no longer tailgate for football games? Instead, you can find them at the agriculture building tailgating before the soybean forecast is released.

funny thing, one of my residents turns 106 this fall… but theres no way she even probably knows what Iowa St. is
Did anyone see Rutland’s MySpace page? “Occupation: struggling comedian”. I bet his other job one of those Wal Mart greeters that cracks jokes at people walking in, thinking he’s funny. God knows his standup isn’t going to get him anywhere.
