Week 2: Why ask why? - Friends
Hudhawk made a solid comment last week about ISU being a “little brother.” I laughed, pretty hard actually, for a few seconds… twenty to twenty-three to be exact… I re-read the comments again (all two of them) tonight, and it dawned on me that ISU and Iowa will never be friends.
I have my own personal reasons for hating ISU [students]. I know some of you are reading this calling me a Benedict Arnold because I am dating an ISU chick… but I still hate ISU just as much as I always have, and always will. So let us set that on the back burner and continue on with the answer to the question I really haven’t asked yet.
My reason for not being able to enjoy ISU as much as I do Iowa is the fact that ISU guys are cockier than a gay porn staring Elton John and Ellen Degeneres. (who’s fucking who, I have know idea, but anyway) And aside from that, the fact that they just plain suck at life only brings their school down further. It’s like Mike said, “…Iowa State students no longer tailgate for football games? Instead, you can find them at the agriculture building tailgating before the soybean forecast is released.” — this is true. You should have seen the party the guys on the other side of my parking-lot threw when they found out how high the price of corn was. Who gives a shit? Everclear and ethanol are the same thing… ‘cept Everclear contains less water, allowing it to be 190 proof. Get over it… all you drink is Keystone Light, no wonder the price is high.
This weeks question: “Why can’t Iowa and Iowa State be friends?”

Do we really need reasons?! I think if you know you hate them….you don’t need a reason. Hating them is reason enough!
I hate to say it guys, but I think you’d get more posts on here if we didn’t have to log in every time we wanted to say something.
Additionally, if Iowa State wanted to be our “friend” its athletic department would get over itself and not post asinine billboards claiming Iowa to be a “Cyclone” state. Assholes.

Logging in cuts down on people spamming the site with proganda against the Hawks. If you care enough about the Hawks, and think you have something good to add, then the annoyance of the login process should be overlooked. And as for the “Cyclone State” shit… it’s just that; shit. They have to put shit up like that to get the rest of the circus freaks fired up about their paltry team. At least when we post propaganda, it’s based on truth/facts…
FACT: Dogs are only dubbed “man’s best friend” because ISU worked so hard to make peanut butter… I can’t image being that lonely and pathetic.

Amen to that. Jamie Pollard is driving their athletic department in to the ground — too bad for them, they won’t realize it until they’re broke.
Another administrative note: We tried having open comments (no login) for the first year, and it didn’t work out very well. We spent a ton of time cleaning up comments, and we haven’t had that problem since we required logins to comment.

I am working on a feature where I am previewing all 12 of Purdue’s opponents on my Purdue blog and I was wondering if you wanted to link up.
